After School Programs



Flynn offers a variety of afterschool program options, both onsite and offsite.


Mission Graduates Extended Day Program

  • Accepts TK – 5th grade students
  • On-site at Flynn
  • Can attend full time or part time; fees are sliding scale with scholarships available
  • Enrichment programs include:
    • Outdoor recreation
    • Variety of enrichment opportunities (dance, theatre, cooking, capoeria, art)
    • Homework support
    • Literacy development support
    • Academic support (including ESL support)
  • Hours of operation: Mon-Wed, Fri 2:40-5:45pm, Thurs 1:40-5:45pm; TK/Kinder is only until 5:30

Out of School Time Program through SFUSD 

  • Accepts TK – 5th grade students; TK / Kinder students are welcome to start summer before they enroll at Flynn (e.g. if student is enrolling for Fall 2019, student can start at program June 2019) 
  • On-site at Flynn
  • SFUSD runs the program 
  • Fee structure is determined by income eligibility and family need
  • Hours of operation: Mon-Wed, Fri 2:40-5:45pm, Thurs 1:40-5:45pm
  • Open during vacations 7:45am-5:45pm
  • Program components include academic and instructional support, enrichment activities, and recreation

Mariposa Kids

  • Accepts TK – 5th grade students
  • Located about 5-7 blocks from Flynn at 26th & Hampshire streets
  • Mariposa staff picks up at Flynn, takes students to Precita Park, then Mariposa staff walks students to Rolph Playground at 26th & Hampshire location
  • Holistic development of students including:
    • Healthy snack
    • Homework time
    • Enrichment activities
    • Physical play – group games
    • Free play
  • Hours of operation: Mon-Wed, Fri 2:40-6:00 pm, Thurs 1:40-6:00pm
